Gemma lost her first tooth. Well, first with us. In China she heard about the toothfairy being in America. Cole filled her in on the details. The first night she put her tooth under her pillow and the toothfairy did not come. The next morning she told me that since the toothfairy didn't come she would just keep her tooth. I told her that sometimes the tooth fairy has a night off so she should try it again. The second night she put her tooth under her pillow, the toothfairy forgot to come again. But since we found her tooth at the bottom of her bed in the morning, we figured the tooth fairy couldn't find her tooth and that is why she didn't come. And finally on the third night, the tooth fairy came. But because she didn't come the first two nights, Gemma failed to look under her pillow to find her surprise. We had to remind her to look and when she did, she was not too excited because it took three days for the toothfairy to come - very lame. It seems that, for many years now, the toothfairy has failed to be on time and has a very bad reputation in our household. Hopefully she will get it together by the time Kai starts loosing his teeth, which will be anytime.

You will rarely see a photo with the kids making nice faces for the camera anymore. It's all about who can be the cheeziest.
